HALL BULLDOG
CLIENT: Jim Burke
SERVICE: Comparative Geometric Reconstruction
The Hall Bulldog project is not a replica. It is a reconstruction of geometry through discipline, a bridge between fragmented history and structural truth.
AVIATION ARCHAEOLOGY
The Hall Bulldog, a 1930s racing aircraft, carries a bold and uncompromising personality. Tight proportions, gull wing geometry, and a compact fuselage that feels carved rather than drawn.
When Jim Burke approached me to recreate it as a full-scale replica, the challenge was immediate: no complete technical drawings existed. Only vintage photographs, often distorted, incomplete, and stripped of reliable lens data.
This was not styling. It was aviation archaeology.
